A wonderful airy space and a blank canvas to work with, our client wanted a kitchen with clean lines and design whist retaining a freestanding furniture feel, that had the age and character the old mill house demanded. Using a blend of painted units, some carefully distressed, french oak given a warmth by an oil finish, and reclaimed oak boards for table tops, the rustic ambience of the room comes through. In contrast, this is balanced by the subtle seperation of cooking and eating space, through use of walnut worktops over the cooker and sink units.
The overall effect is stunning!
