During our time as bespoke cabinetmakers, we have watched customers agonise over the minute details of design and describe
the exacting standards they expect for a piece to go into their homes. We work on the principle that if it isn't good enough
to go into your home, then it's not good enough to go into your bus!
It was only when we came to restore "Denis" our own 1968 bay window bus, that we realised how many camper owners have to
compromise on style and craftsmanship for their interiors. After sorting out the mechanics and bodywork, we wanted to match
up the inside with furniture that complemented those beautiful VW curves and that was both practical and quality built. We
concluded that the only way for us to get what we wanted was to put our skills to good use and build it ourselves....
ATT Bespoke Bus Furniture was born!
All of the bus furniture is of original design from Adrian Gilliland, and is hand crafted in our workshop using a variety
of traditional and modern woodworking techniques, timbers and finishes.
The unique curves of the units echo the shape of a bus, and the use of solid wood to frame the doors and cabinets gives
not only strength but a truly bespoke style. The colour and finish of our bus furniture can be chosen to complement the
upholstery or paintwork of your van. Painted if you want, or stained and varnished to enhance natural wood, our bus furniture
is given a durable and practical finish so that it can be used as intended...after all...home is where you park it!
We are commissioned by many of our customers, to make individual interiors based upon their needs (room for a fridge,
must have loads of storage, don’t want to see the grill...). As we believe that all of our interiors and customers are
special we mark this uniqueness with a small makers plaque and individual serial number. Whatever you are after, we are happy to work with you to interpret your "wish list", against any issues of practicality,
aesthetics and budget. Why not check out some examples of our work in our "customer rides" gallery. Examples of current
commissions can also be seen at our workshop if you want drop by.
